Enfin, nous avons pénétré dans l'Antarctique, royaume des manchots et pays des glaciers aux couleurs translucides, nous laissant des souvenirs inoubliables. Je me revois encore dans la Baie Paradis (qui porte bien son nom) lors d’une sortie en zodiac. Son nom lui a été attribué en référence à la beauté de cette baie, bordée de hautes montagnes et de glaciers. Le soleil était au rendez-vous et la température était très agréable. Pendant presque une heure, nous avons navigué dans les glaces de toutes tailles, depuis les petits sarrasins jusqu’aux énormes icebergs pesant des milliers de tonnes. Je me suis retrouvée dans une ambiance très surréaliste. Comme dans un rêve, j’ai eu l’impression d’être la première à découvrir cet endroit immaculé, qui m’a laissé un souvenir inoubliable ! Que du bonheur pour moi en ce premier jour de l’an. Oh là là, j’allais oublier … Le « CAP HORN » ! Voilà, c’est fait … Le mercredi 04 janvier 2012, je suis devenue une « Cap-hornienne » et fière de l’être . A vous d’aller voir ce que j’ai écrit dans le « livre d’or » situé dans le phare et destiné aux rares chanceux qui ont pu accomplir ce mythique Cap Horn. Bref, je me sens privilégiée car je suis consciente d’avoir réalisé « LE » voyage d’une seule vie, qui ne laisse personne indifférent … Malgré un retour forcé dans la vie « réelle », je suis revenue sans conteste « différente » de cette expédition oh combien intense. (52 photographies). // Antarctica, land of extremes … After a "transit" in Buenos Aires and a short visit of Ushuaia (Tierra del Fuego), the first stage of this expedition cruise was Grave Cove - New Island (Falkland Islands). We then went through the South Georgia, where all the fauna gathered together to offer us a memorable show. Finally, we penetrated in Antarctica, into penguins kingdom and into country of the glaciers in the translucent colors, leaving us unforgettable memories. I still remember me in the Paradise Bay (which fits well its name) during a Zodiac “cruise”. Its name was given to it in reference to the beauty of this bay, lined with high mountains and glaciers. The sun was there and the temperature was very pleasant. During almost one hour, we navigated in the ices of any sizes, since “brash ice” to the enormous icebergs weighing thousands of tons. I was in a very surrealist atmosphere. Like a dream, I had the impression to be the first person to discover this spotless place, which left with me an unforgettable memory! What a beautiful day for me for this first New Year's Day. Wow, I was going to forget … "CAPE HORN"! Well, it is done … On Wednesday, January 04th, 2012, I became "Cap Horner" and proud of it . La montée à la cabane depuis Rotenboden se fait tout d'abord via un chemin pédestre bien équipé. La traversée du glacier (balisage bleu-blanc) nécessite un équipement adéquat (chaussures de montagne, piolet ou bâtons, crampons, voire corde). L'accès au glacier et l'itinéraire sur le glacier changent pourtant très souvent et se présentent parfois très délicats. Une bonne condition physique est indispensable " , j'y suis allée ! Randonnée d'enfer dans tous les sens du terme, je suis pourtant heureuse et fière de l'avoir fait, non sans mal bien sûr, et surtout grâce à Ronald Forster, mon guide durant ces 2 jours (aller-retour). Sans Ronald, je n'aurais pu y arriver. Il est le plus grand glacier des Alpes, situé dans le sud de la Suisse et dans le canton du Valais. En 2001, l'UNESCO a inscrit le site Alpes suisses Jungfrau-Aletsch au patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO. J’avais déjà vu de merveilleux endroits jusque là ; pourtant, aucun d’entre eux n’avait pu jusqu’ici me donner l’émotion très particulière que j’ai ressentie lorsque je me suis retrouvée face à ce glacier. Quant à la reine Hatchepsout, sa célébrité doit plus à son audace de se faire représenter comme un homme qu'à son règne pendant l'âge d'or de la XVIIIe dynastie. Consciente que la charge dont elle portait la responsabilité demeurait par tradition destinée à un homme, elle accepta de se parer d’attributs masculins dont la barbe postiche.
